That description is golden, the deviation ain't bad either. I think it's a bit different from your normal work. I do think there is a bit too much blur in the top left corner for me. I know there isn't much you could have done to prevent that, especially since I know you had trouble with the crop on this one (or so I would guess from when you were photographing it, maybe I'm wrong). But yeah, I think the balck and white really works for this one.

A smaller aperture would've considerably reduced its background blur and I admittedly should've tried shooting as such. Thanks for noting that it's "different" -- that's for what I'd hoped.

nice shot and nice effects added, the light through the leaf is really neat, it's like when you see your finger bones with a lamp X) you managed to do a very good job with the leaves on the focus and the other all fluffy in the background X) I think the title is very fitting, there's an idea of light and energy in it, and so in the image X)

Considering a smaller aperture I think this was the best choice you could have done.
